New mascara products

max-factor-modelI love mascara and it’s one thing I never go without. I use Maybelline’s Unstoppable and I’m happy with the result — a natural, light, clean look I can wear everyday. It’s smudgeproof yet every night I don’t have difficulty removing it, even with just plain soap and water. For heavier, dramatic eyes, I use Max Factor False Lash Effect Waterproof. The brush is bigger so lashes get a volumizing coat with each stroke. It stays on, doesn’t flake, doesn’t clump, it smudges a bit but all mascaras smudge on me.

loreal collagen mascaraOf late, I’ve noticed that all makeup brands are coming out with mascaras that have bigger brushes and bigger tubes. Take for instance, L’oreal’s New Extra-Volume Collagen, that has a brush two times bigger than a classic brush. The formulation is new as it is enriched with Hydra-Collagen to makes lashes longer and fuller.

Does the size of the brush have anything to do with better mascara application? Some brands have even developed vibrating brushes like Pulse Perfection Define-A-Lash that has a patent-pending elastomer brush that vibrates 7,000 times per stroke.

Makeup artists say its not the size or shape of the brush  that makes for better application but the technique (see my previous post on mascara tricks and tips). It’s takes a steady hand and lots of practice. Get that both down pat and you’ll do fine.

Loreal double extendAnother new mascara from L’Oreal, though not yet available in the market, is the Double Extensions Beauty Tubes, which is safe for contact lens wearers and washes off easily. It lengthens the lashes, creating a false lash effect, while still looking natural. It’s got a white basecoat that is very nourishing and replenishing to the lashes.

Here are a couple of the latest mascara products:

P-eyeDoubleTwist-lgRevlon Double Twist Mascara.  It has a revolutionary 2-in-1 brush for the ultimate lash look. The thickening Brush + separating combs make application easier.

Lancome Hypnôse Drama.  The full contact brush, with its S-shaped curve, grasps and loads lashes for a fanned out, full body fringe.

Covergirl Exact Eyelights Eye-Brightening Mascara.   Notable for its brightening effect on the eyes, this mascara is the latest buzz after the highly rated Lash Blast.

I love mascaras… but maybelline for me is still the best and not so expensive. I tried max factor false eyelashes effect and i got dissapointed with the result. I cant see the false lashes effect look, doesnt give much difference.. really..
Chanel mascara is also ok but a bit expensive compare to maybelline.
